When Paul asked me to guest edit this quarter’s edition of The Bondi High, I knew I wanted our theme to be “Belonging”. This was, in part, for selfish reasons: as a first-time Expat, my concept of belonging has been regularly. A Brit abroad, I think of my home country more fondly now that I’m a day’s travel away. The mountains green of Blighty seem more romantic now that I don’t have to engage in the nonsense of our politicians, the failings of our sports teams, or the rain, anymore. I feel something that could be described as national pride when I can confidently state that no one does Fish and Chips, or Pubs, better…
